MEET THE FOUNDER
Hello I'm Lauren, the woman who made SALTF0LK by hand!
Like many other people, I struggled to find skincare products that were made with quality ingredients while also being actually effective. For years, I washed my face with nothing but water since everything I tried either caused my sensitive skin to have a reaction, or did absolutely nothing. With my lack of beauty routine, I never could have anticipated becoming a skincare formulator, let alone starting my own small business centered around skincare.
Eventually though, my wild life outdoors began to leave its mark. The sun, wind, and elements started showing on my skin, and I realized I needed a little extra care. As a true DIYer, I began experimenting with an assortment of natural oils and butters in my kitchen. My organic concoctions impressed me more than anything I had tried from the store, but nothing compared to the overnight results tallow delivered to my skin!
Within a week, my skin felt hydrated, the texture was unrecognizable, and fine lines melted away like they were never there. I quickly started making jars for friends and family to share the love. When they experienced the same transformative results as me, word spread quickly. Soon I was getting order requests from people I didn’t even know!
That’s when I knew it was time to create something more. As I refined the recipe, my goal was to create something rooted in ancestral ingredients that also felt elevated and luxurious. That’s how SALTF0LK began. This brand is an expression of everything I believe in: simplicity, sustainability, and returning to sacred slowness.
